The newest Carthaginians include 720 freshmen and 90 transfer students. They come from 23 U.S. states and five foreign countries: Canada, China, Japan, Kenya, and Serbia.

The University of Alabama awarded approximately 1,300 degrees during summer commencement Aug. 5. With a beautiful campus, hundreds of rigorous academic programs, world-renowned faculty and numerous opportunities for service and growth, The University of Alabama is a place where legends are made. With the conclusion of the 2016-2017 academic year, Wheaton student-athletes were honored by the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) for their work in the classroom. The Academic All-Conference team consists of letterwinners from CCIW member institutions who achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or higher.

About 300 Knox College seniors received their bachelor's degrees on June 4, 2017, at the College's Commencement exercises.

The Iowa State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Dean's List honors students who have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Dean's List honors are earned by undergraduate students who carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.

A total of 11,101 students enrolled during the 2017 spring semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

McKendree University congratulates the Class of 2017! #McK2017

Theta Alpha Kappa, the national honor society for religious studies and theology, inducted its charter members on April 27, as part of McKendree University's fourth annual Academic Excellence Celebration.

Coastal Carolina University's held commencement ceremonies for an estimated 1,145 candidates for graduation May 5 and 6, 2017, at the HTC Student Recreation and Convocation Center on campus. In her remarks to Coastal Carolina University's Class of 2017, commencement speaker Amber J. Campbell encouraged graduates to be true to themselves and their own course in life instead of relying too much on conventional wisdom. "Don't listen to 'they,' because 'they' will tell you all kinds of things," said Campbell, an Olympic athlete and 2004 CCU graduate. " 'They' don't always have your best interests at heart. 'They' will try to talk you out of your dream. 'They' will tell you that what you're pursuing doesn't make sense or that the career you chose is too obscure. Meanwhile, you might end up a three-time Olympian and travel the world!"

Miami University Students Study Abroad Winter 2017 Semester

McKendree University students will present, perform and exhibit their scholarly and creative works during the Academic Excellence Celebration on April 27 at the Lebanon, Illinois, campus.

Wheaton College students performed in "Confessions," the annual spring dance show presented by Zoe's Feet Dance Ministry.

Each semester, COMM 113 students participate in mock job interviews for their desired career. The class watches the interview and votes for the student they think did the best. Congratulations to Jack Fiddes and Shane Taylor, who won the "best interviewer" award and were finalists for the "best in the class" designation. Students on the "Spanish Language Immersion in Guatemala" study tour traveled to northern Guatemala where they studied and experienced rural life in and around an agricultural community.
